Forest Waterfall

by Whitney Tarin, age 11, from US

Summer morning the birds begin to chirp
The waterfall is rushing down into the lake
Rabbits awaken and come out of their warren
The grass is green and flowers are blooming
Morning dew is dripping off the lush leaves
Deer come leaping to get their morning meal
Butterflies are fluttering over the crystal clear water
Time passes...
The creatures start for home
The day is over
The only sound in the forest is that of the crashing waterfall
