The next morning when she woke up she was wrapped up. They clay pot beside her and her favorite lamp were wrapped up too. The lamp and the pot were being held in the air by the plant that was coming out of the book. She screamed as loud as she could, but it was no use. She was so scared that when she opened her mouth, no sound came out. The plant grew and grew. It was unstoppable. The plant squeezed the lamp, and the pieces shattered like a glass breaking on the floor. The pieces crashed down. One of the bits ripped the page. The plant grew smaller and smaller, unwrapping everything. It disappeared like a magic trick.

Michelle picked up the book and ran as fast as a cheetah down the stairs. She grabbed a pack of matches and flew out the door to the fire pit in the back of the cabin. She slammed the book in the fire pit, threw some pine needles in, and struck a match to the pile. Everything went up in flames.

Aunt Pat rushed outside to see what was wrong. She asked, "Why are you starting a fire out here? And what was that noise upstairs?" Michelle knew her aunt wouldn't believe her, but told her anyway. She showed her the broken lamp. Her aunt was skeptical, but when they looked out the window they saw a tiny plant growing from the fire pit.
