• Construction Paper cut outs

  Make cards out of construction paper or thin cardboard, then fold them in half. Write a personal message on the inside.

You can decorate your cards with paint, cut up construction paper, or you can print cards of your own!



 

 

 

 

Printing cards:

Cut squares from different color paper or cardboard, a little smaller than the folded cards. If you want a border around your print, cut two sizes, one to fit inside the other.

Besides your paper or cardboard, to print your own cards, you'll need:

• thick Styrofoam
• a felt-tip pen
• a knife
• poster paints
• dish for poster paints

  Draw a simple shape onto the Styrofoam, something like a bell, a tree, a star, etc. Cut out the shape. Put some poster paint into a dish, then dip the flat edge of your Styrofoam into the paint. Press the painted shape onto one of the squares. Keep dipping and pressing until you have printed all your inside squares.

• For all you people who KNOW you want to write a personal note, but can never find the time, buy cards with no writing inside. That way, you FORCE yourself to write a personal note.

• A handmade card almost evens it out if you don't send a long personal note. (Although those are extra special, too.)
