a brief history
INTERESTING FACT: Back in the 1800s, people didn't give expensive gifts for Christmas like they do today. They gave each other things from the heart -- Things that didn't cost much money, but meant a lot to both the gift giver and the recipient. In the year 1822, Clement C. Moore gave his children a wonderful gift on Christmas Eve. It was a poem he had written, especially for them, about "A Visit from St. Nicholas" (aka "The Night Before Christmas"). He presented it to his family and friends at a holiday party that year. The next year, a young relative of Clement C. Moore's got the poem published in the newspaper. The town of New York fell in love with the poem... and the rest, as they say, is history...
The Night Before Christmas: Holiday Crafts & Activity Center pays tribute to the poem Clement C. Moore wrote that chilly winter evening -- in an interactive CD-ROM PLUS a large format children's book, made with art from the Night Before Christmas CD-ROM. The book is also a treasured keepsake, to be brought out year after year. There's even a page in the back of the book for children to keep track of the things they've wished for over the years! Come find a bit of history, and a bit of the future, in The Night Before Christmas: Holiday Crafts & Activity Center on CD-ROM.
PS: The book comes with the CD-ROM inside, plus a craft booklet that helps you turn your computer artwork in to 3-D Christmas decorations!
