Melinda Bell
Interactive Scriptwriter, Designer, Programmer
Melinda has written and developed interface design and gameplay for a number of software clients including Broderbund, Mindscape, SEGA, the National Institute of Health and Global MediaNet.
Melinda is the programmer and designer of the OneNorthPole.com website, "The Night Before Christmas" CD-ROM and the recently released "The Night Before Hannukah: Holiday Crafts & Activity Center."
At her computer studio, she designs and develops products in Macromedia Director, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, SoundEdit 16 and several HTML authoring programs.
Melinda is also notable as a television writer for the MGM series, "Fame" and USA Network's "Beyond Reality". Melinda's other credits include past Publisher and Editor of the North Bay Multimedia Reporter and the IICS-Los Angeles newsletter. She is also author of numerous articles on the interactive multimedia field.
For the past 3 years, Melinda has been a featured speaker for the computer game industry, authoring popular lectures on Edutainment Isn't a Four Letter Word, Games for Girls, Writing the Interactive Story and the popular Self-Publish or Perish in the World of children's CD-ROMs. She also teaches Interactive Writing at the College of Marin, Marin County, California. Melinda is a member of the Writers Guild of America, west.
Melinda is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is listed in Who's Who in American Women.
