THINGS YOU'LL NEED:

OPTIONAL:

Take an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper and fold it in half, lengthwise. |
Fold down the front two corners, toward the inside of the plane - making the edge of the paper meet the fold. |

Fold down the sides again, making the edges of the fold meet each other in the center. |
Fold the sides in again, one more time. And... |

To make your airplanes really special, you can paint a picture on the paper before you fold it... |

A SPECIAL IDEA: Consider making an entire fleet of decorated airplanes and taping them into position with cellophane tape so they won't unfold. You can place your fleet in a box, which you've decorated to look like the floor of an aircraft carrier! (Use thread spools for pipes or cut the cardboard rolls into short pieces and cap them with a piece of round cardboard to look like hatchways and pipes!) |
