Here are 2 Photo Contests for Young People

"The Yearbook Click" National Photo Contest for Jr. High & Middle Schools

On November 4, 1999, Eastman Kodak Company launched a national in-school contest called "The Yearbook Click." To help kick off the contest, "Party of Five" star Lacey Chabert is visiting schools to offer students tips on how to take winning photos.

"The Yearbook Click," developed with Jostens, will give about 125 junior high and middle schools across the country the chance to win a grand prize of $40,000 worth of high-tech photography equipment plus a visit from Lacey Chabert at the end of the 1999-2000 school year. Four runners-up will each receive 100 Kodak Max Flash one-time-use cameras.

To find out if your school has signed up for this contest, speak to your yearbook advisor.

A Contest with a Twist - Any Teen Can Enter

In addition to the 100,000 students participating in "The Yearbook Click" all teens nationwide will also be able to participate in a parallel photo contest--a venture between the popular teen magazine, Twist, and Kodak. The magazine will be compiling a spread of student-life photos from reader submissions across the country for a feature in their June issue. Instructions on how to enter can be found in the January/February issue of the magazine (on newstands in November) and on Twist's web site.
