- EnergySmart Schools Kids' Invention Contest
- Fourth through sixth graders are invited to invent and submit a drawing of an original, energy-saving device plus a 100-word description. Winners will receive a $250 savings bond and all-expenses-paid trip to a Dept. of Energy laboratory to to build their invention with the help of DOE scientists. Entries due November 10, 2000.
